THE STORY BEHIND COLORS IN GREY
A profoundly human record confronting trauma, loss, and connection.
Colors in Grey is a nine-track emotional excavation that represents a defining moment for Oathbound. Blending intricate progressive metalcore riffs with soaring, anthemic synths, the album confronts trauma, addiction, isolation, and loss with unflinching honesty. Self-produced and uncompromising in vision, Colors in Grey captures the tension between darkness and clarity — the crushing lows and necessary highs that shape the human experience. It’s a record built for catharsis, connection, and the moments where something meaningful still breaks through.
Written during a period of personal and creative transformation, Colors in Grey reflects a band fully committed to its identity and its message. Each song serves a purpose within the album’s emotional arc, mirroring the uncertainty, confrontation, and resolve that come with facing life’s most difficult moments head-on. Rather than offering easy answers, the record creates space for reflection — and for the realization that even in the grey, there is still something worth holding onto.
